Your signup helps a neighbor stay warm

For each of the first 500 neighbors who sign up and tell us how they heat, Friendly Fuel Club will give $1 to LISTEN Community Services' Heating Helpers fund. It costs you nothing, and you don't have to join the club.

What Heating Helpers does

LISTEN Community Services, in Lebanon, New Hampshire, runs Heating Helpers for Upper Valley households in Vermont and New Hampshire. It gives small grants, paid straight to the fuel company or utility, to cover a minimum delivery or stop a shutoff. It can also help with emergency heating repairs. More about Heating Helpers

How to count

  1. Reserve a founding membership with your email and ZIP code. It's free.
  2. Confirm your email. Tap the link in the email we send you.
  3. Tell us how you heat: which fuels you use and about how much in a year. A rough guess is fine: pick a gallon range or tell us about what you spent last winter. We'll show you the questions right after you sign up.

Once you've done all three, you count. That's it.

The details

  • Signups from October 9 through December 31, 2026 count. Earlier signups don't.
  • The first 500 signups to finish all three steps count, in the order they finish. If fewer than 500 finish by December 31, we give $1 for each one who does.
  • Your ZIP code needs to be in the area we serve: Windsor and Orange counties in Vermont, and Grafton and Sullivan counties in New Hampshire.
  • "Not sure" on its own doesn't count as a usage estimate. If propane for cooking or hot water is your only fuel, telling us that is enough.
  • One per household. We don't count duplicate or made-up signups.
  • You don't have to join the club, now or later. Once you count, you count, even if you unsubscribe afterward.
  • The money comes from Friendly Fuel Club, not from you, so it isn't a tax-deductible gift on your part. The most we'll give is $500.
  • We'll send the gift by January 31, 2027, and post the final count and amount on this page.
  • LISTEN isn't part of Friendly Fuel Club and doesn't endorse our prices or membership.
